| Data | What happens |
|---|---|
| Your sign-in account (email or phone, password) | Deleted. You can no longer sign in, and the login is removed from Firebase Authentication. |
| Your staff profile (name, role) | Deleted from the clinic's database. |
| Your preferences and any data stored on your device | Deleted when you uninstall the app or sign out. |
| Patient medical records, and images attached to them | Kept, unless the clinic asks us to delete them. See the note below — this is the important part. |
Medical records belong to the clinic, not to a user account.
If you are a doctor or a receptionist, deleting your account removes your login and profile. It does not erase the patients' medical records you entered — those are the clinic's records, the clinic is legally responsible for keeping them, and other patients' care depends on them.
If you are a patient and you want your medical record erased, the decision belongs to the clinic that treats you, and medical record-retention law may require them to keep it for a number of years. Please contact your clinic first. If your clinic agrees to the deletion, we will carry it out on their instruction — write to us and we will confirm it with them.
If you are the clinic itself and you want your entire database deleted, we will delete the whole clinic project — every patient record, visit, lab result and uploaded image — and confirm when it is gone.
Once a deletion is carried out, the data is removed from the live database immediately. Copies may remain in routine infrastructure backups for up to 90 days, after which they are overwritten. We do not restore deleted data from those backups except to recover from a failure.
